President’s Message from BEV MARTEL, CPA-PCA President
Hello Porsche Club Members, Time certainly flies by when having fun. First, I want to thank all of you who volunteered at the Swap Meet this year. You are a vital part of the event. According to Steve Baun, swap meet chairman, the event was a success even though the weather wasn’t the best. Make sure to put the event on your calendars for next year.
Dan and I did not attend this year but we were definitely thinking of you all. We had the opportunity to attend the PCA Treffen at Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs Virginia. What an experience. We had 2 days of driving events on awesome roads in the mountains of Virginia and West Virginia. The routes that were laid out for us were full of twists, elevation changes and maybe some scary moments. I have to admit, even though Dan’s driving was very good, I had some white knuckle moments. The well maintained roads were a pleasure to drive on. Too bad PA roads aren’t as nice. If you haven’t had an opportunity to attend a Treffen, put it on your must experience list. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the loss of one of our Charter Members, Walter Grube. He was a vital part of our club and will surely be missed.
